Texas Affordable Housing Organization (TAHO)  is a nonprofit corporation based in Austin, Texas.

We provide down payment assistance of up to 3.5% of the purchase price of a new or existing home in the state of Texas.  There are no income limits, and we do not have any geographical restrictions.

Down Payment Assistance Gift Program

We provide down payment assistance to Texas families who have stable jobs, good credit, and qualify with a 35% housing-to-income ratio and a 42% total debt-to-income ratio. 

Workshops

The best way to learn more about our programs and see if your family qualifies for a gift is to contact us about attending one of our weekly educational workshops.  At the 45-minute workshop, we will answer your questions, and you will complete our Quick Qualifier.  Together with a free credit report, we will determine if you are eligible for membership.
